Ok, so you are a new blogger finding out ways to increase your traffic huh? I’m not writing this post claiming that I’ll show you 10 easy ways to start attracting thousands of visitors to your site (and display some testimonials of users sayin : "I did as adviced by Nischal and now I’m earining $2679 every week"). Naah.. I don’t think its that easy to attract thousands of visitors. You need to have good content and equally good patience to get some really good number of visitors to your blog.

I personally feel that search engines are one of the best ways to get visitors to your site. And what better site than google?

You might be aware of Google’s Blog Search . You can search up whats being churned out all over the blogosphere at Google Blog search. Do a search for your site and if it doesn’t turn up then click here to add your site to Google Blog Search.

You should also submit your blog to major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Live. But since your blog is on wordpress.com, I don’t see the need to do that

Yes. I do agree that good contents plus quality back links are the way to get good serps.

And with the so many free pinging services, it is really easy and convenient to get one’s blog listed in just a few days.

Your blog comes up on google search. There’s nothing wrong when you do not get traffic. Blog regularly and after a few months you’re bound to get good traffic

Thanks this link was helpful. I looked everywhere on the Google blog search screen and there were no references to submitting your site anymore. I could have sworn they had it prominently listed in the footer or something a few months ago. Strange they would pull this link.

Hello all, I try to add my blog (http://www.wirelesssecuritycamera-system.com, http://www.wirelesssecurity-system.com and http://www.healtydiettips.com) to google search and go to blogsearch but 404. That’s an error.
The requested URL /http%3A//google.com/blogsearch%3Fhl%3Den was not found on this server.

Hi Nischal!

I am running a self-hosted wordpress blog which was generating good number of visits until the end of June. But recently I changed the preferred domain for my blog to www from non-www, which affected my blog. Now the new posts on my blog are not getting added to Google Blog Search.

What could be the reason for this? What do I have to do in order to fix this?
