yeah, thats what I do!!!
We have earlier discussed about adding favicons for blogger as well as self hosted wordpress blogs.
I guess all the wordpress.com users have been anxiously waiting for favicons on their blogs.
The folks at wordpress have come out with Blog+Avatar = Blavatar
Your Blavatar, serves as your favicon as well as displayed in other blogs if you comment on them or link back.
To get blavatars for your wordpress.com blogs, go to Settings in your dashboard and upload an image as your Blog picture. Save the image and then you would be able to see it.
That’s it! You now have a favicon for your wordpress.com blog!
1. If your Blavatar does not appear in the address bar as the favicon then try viewing your blog in a different browser. Clear the cache. It should work.

@Kiran
Not to worry. A few things you gotta check:
1. Blavatar is not your Profile picture which is used as an Avatar.
2. You should find the blavatar option under ‘Settings” where it says “Blog Picture”
3. Once you have uploaded (png or jpeg) you can crop the image to your liking.
4. The most important and probably why you are not able to see your Blavatar as the favicon of your blog – Try it in a different browser. Browser cache plays a part here at times.

Thanks but I did not mean that! I am aware of such services on the internet. It is just that the WordPress.com has its own security policy and animated flavicons are not allowed (Only jpg, or png allowed). Thanks anyway.

It’s not possible on wordpress.com; normal favicon is allowed. WordPress.com also does not allow javascripts for security reasons.

I did not know I had to clear the cache when replacing the old ‘blavatar’ so I thought the server didn’t process the image or w/e
Thanks ^^
