Mani Ratnam will soon be starting work on his next movie which will be an interpretation of the RAMAYAN . And it’s gonna be Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who’ll be cast as Ram and Sita! (Don’t be surprised if news comes along that Amitabh bachchan would be cast as Dashrath, Ram’s father).

Mani Ratnam got the best out of Aishwarya and Abhishek in his previous film, GURU. It would be interesting to see how he portrays two of the finest actors in Indian cinema as Ram and Sita.

Govinda , we hear, has been offered the role of Hanuman . When Govinda was approached for this role he seemed to have grabbed the opportunity without second thoughts. The actor believes in Mani Ratnam immensely  (I mean who doesn’t?)

For Ravan’s role, there were two contenders, namely, Aditya Panscholi and south star Vikram . But ultimately it was Vikram who bagged the role.
