yeah, thats what I do!!!
How many times have you sent yourself an email as a reminder? A lot of people do that and that includes me too.
Tasks in Gmail has been introduced to address this problem. Whether you have a phone bill to pay after 2 days or have to take your pet to the vet, Gmail Tasks is the right tool for you.

The app not only allows you to add new tasks, it also lets you convert emails into tasks. To convert an email into a task, go to More Actions -> Add To Tasks .
To enable Tasks, you can either click here (if you are signed in to gmail) or go to Settings , click the Labs tab . Select "Enable " next to "Tasks " and then click "Save Changes" at the bottom.
There are sites like Remember The Milk which offer the same service but the convenience of being able to set tasks right through your favourite mail service is just unbeatable.

You can pretty much do the same thing with RTM as well: even converting emails into tasks.

@Vivek
Yeah, I agree RTM does all these things. Even then, dont you think it would be a lot better to do it right through Gmail
But at the end of the day, it’s all about convenience and choice. Some would vouch for RTM and other such services while others would prefer Gmail Tasks
